Update on boat delivery, commissioning and handovers.
We are experiencing unprecedented levels of demand for our services and sales. With 66 calls in 8 hrs last Thursday “Unprecedented demand” doesn’t seem to cover the level of contact we are currently receiving. We are doing everything we can to respond as quickly as possible to enquiries but this may be longer than desirable for customers. Whilst we apologise for this it is an issue out of our control. Aside from the level of demand for boats and our services, there are global shortages of boats, engines, electronics and delivery delays due to Extremely high demand, global logistic shortfalls and Brexit.
On top of this we are still operating under limited service due to current covid restrictions and the office is closed until May 17th. We kindly ask that customers do not turn up at the office without an appointment and if you have made arrangements to meet a member of the team then please do this outside of the office.
We further ask you to be patient with us and our team during this time.
To avoid disappointment we will not be drawn on giving dates. We we have been repeatedly let down by global suppliers and not all our jobs are completed in the allotted time we estimate. We rely on a number of outside services and the weather - Notoriously unpredictable in both cases.
We can promise that we will do everything to bring our customers boats to handover as soon as possible and we are looking at eight week back log.
We are prioritising current customers with boats purchased with us and those that have pre-booked maintenance works and servicing
We are not allowed to offer sea trials or handover of boats that have a cabin until May 17th which is causing us more delays in our commissioning schedule. We hope to be able to offer viewings by appointment when restrictions are lifted and other support when we are fully open.
Thank you for your understanding in these very difficult times for our industry.
